Tim's Creative Writing Journey
I developed a love of literature at school, and was an avid teenage reader. But writing during my working life was news reporting, feature writing and interviewing subjects for articles in various newspapers and magazines.
It was only as a consequence of ill health that forced me to stop work in 2014 that I decided to do a creative writing course and started to write short stories. Once bitten by the fiction writing bug, I kept going and now have 13 books, including two volumes of short stories and a Covid-19 lockdown book of verse and flash fiction. My love of history lead me to research and write a five-book series, A Light in the Dark Ages, and a dual timeline historical novel, Guardians at the Wall.
Together with my teenage daughter, Cathy, we wrote a three-book children's series, The Adventures of Charly Holmes.
